Backwards Simon

Rules

1. A 3-second countdown, then the GO signal.
2. Like Simon Says: four buttons light up in a sequence, starting with 2 steps.
3. But you must repeat it backwards, from last to first.
4. Every round you get right adds a step and goes faster.
5. The event ends on mistake number 2.
6. You answer by clicking (or tapping) on the board.
7. The event lasts 2 min at most.

How scoring works

You score for the longest sequence you repeat backwards, with a bonus for speed.

Levels

• Gold level500 points
• Silver level300 points
• Bronze level150 points

Levels are earned by result; medals are only for the CCI Olympics.

Tips

• Chunk the sequence into twos or threes and reverse it chunk by chunk.
• Put names to what you see ("red, blue, red"): said in your head, it sticks better.
