Flash Dictation

Rules

1. A 3-second countdown, then the GO signal.
2. There are 8 sentences.
3. Each one is shown for 3 s and then vanishes.
4. Type it from memory and press Enter for the next one.
5. You type on the keyboard and can use backspace; pasting text does not count.
6. The event lasts 1 min 30 s at most.

How scoring works

Each sentence scores for the characters you get right and how fast you type it. They all add up. Typing at an impossible speed or pasting text voids the result.

Levels

• Gold level3,300 points
• Silver level2,600 points
• Bronze level1,800 points

Levels are earned by result; medals are only for the CCI Olympics.

Tips

• Read the whole sentence once, as if saying it; do not try to photograph it letter by letter.
• If you are unsure of a word, type the most likely one and move on.
• A physical keyboard beats a touchscreen.
